Emergency Support
Emergency support.
In an emergency, contact your designated J-1 sponsor’s 24/7 emergency line first. Your sponsor carries the formal monitoring and emergency-contact role for your program, and BridgeUSA program resources are also available to you.
Designated sponsor emergency line: [to be published with the sponsor designation — see Legal & program information].
We understand that navigating this landscape alone can be risky, unsafe, and challenging. For non-emergencies, we’re happy to hop on a quick five-minute courtesy call at no cost to you — calls after 5 PM Eastern due to ongoing commitments. We anticipate a high volume of incoming calls, so we can’t stay in touch all the time.
If you need us for anything more
If you need in-person help within a four-hour drive of Conyers, Georgia — for example, settling in, navigating local services, or preparing for a meeting — we can discuss that scope. You would cover agreed travel costs, including mileage and lodging if needed, plus a flat $150 hourly rate for direct consultation. Virtual support remains available in all 50 states.
Disputes with a district: the district pays our placement fee, so we cannot represent you against a fee-paying district — that would be a conflict of interest. For a dispute with a district, we will refer you to independent counsel or an advocate.
Outcomes are not guaranteed. Scope, timing, travel, and costs must be agreed to in writing before work begins.
