Full-time placement, honestly priced

The J-1 International Teacher Program

There are gifted vision rehabilitation teachers around the world who dream of serving American students. And there are American school districts that desperately need them. We bring the two together — fairly, transparently, and with the teacher's dignity at the center.

How it works

Your district leads. We open the door.

  1. We recruit. Gaur Vision Group identifies qualified international teachers trained in vision rehabilitation.
  2. You hire. The school district is the employer of record — the teacher works for you, on your terms, under your leadership.
  3. We support. Visa sponsorship logistics, onboarding guidance, and ongoing check-ins so the placement thrives.
  4. Students win. A full-time, dedicated specialist in your schools, year after year.
The fee, in plain English

It steps down — because loyalty should be rewarded

Our placement fee is a percentage of the teacher's first-year salary equivalent, and it decreases every year the teacher stays:

YearPlacement fee
Year 125%
Year 220%
Year 315%
Year 410%
Year 55%
Our fairness guarantees:
  • The teacher pays no fees to Gaur Vision Group — only government and third-party fees, paid directly to the authorities.
  • The fee is earned on the teacher's first day in your district.
  • No fee at all if the visa is denied or no placement occurs.
  • If the teacher departs early, you receive a 12-month replacement or a pro-rated refund.
The protections, in one place

Our Guarantee

These aren't new marketing promises — they're commitments we've already made to districts and teachers, gathered here so they're easy to find:

  • No placement fee to your district if the teacher's visa is denied or no DS-2019 is issued. You pay nothing for a placement that never happens.
  • If the teacher departs early, you get a 12-month replacement or a pro-rated refund — your call.
  • The teacher pays no fees to Gaur Vision Group — only government and third-party fees, paid directly to the authorities.

These stand as written. If we fail on any of them, tell us — we'll make it right in writing.

Program status — October 2026

The J-1 program remains intact

We know international teachers and districts alike are watching the headlines. Here's the honest picture: a 2026 federal rule attempted to end "duration of status" for J-1 visitors — but in September 2026, a federal court issued a nationwide injunction blocking that rule. Duration of status remains in effect while the litigation continues, and the J-1 / BridgeUSA program is operating normally.

We'll keep this page updated as the situation develops. If you have questions about what this means for your district or your application, ask us directly — we'll give you a straight answer.
